Partake of the begotten of God

Text: 1 John 5:18(KJV)

We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

Friends, we have been brought forth by a divine fatherhood. We are not without a root because there is no fatherless personality but there is a translation into the uniqueness of the God’s fatherhood. Hence, we are born into royalty family which shifts our origin into God’s relationship of paternity. We now have a source of life that comes from Him. Therefore, we are birthed spiritually by the Holy Spirit through our faith in Jesus who is the first begotten of the father. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. This is a rebirth that does not live in habitual sin as the new nature of righteousness is in you. So, we are no longer defined by our background and earthly origin which limits us rather we are begotten of Him. Remember, we are partakers of His nature by grace and not by human effort.

Interestingly, as God’s dear children, we also enjoy the divine nature which is a lifestyle that qualifies us for His inheritance and eternal victory. The believer now have a new nature by being born again that gives us a new identity in life. John 1:12-13 But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name …which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. This makes us to share God’s life and nature by our rebirth in Him. Yes, we carry His name and also share His divine nature as we embrace Jesus in faith. So, His love attribute becomes our new identity. But, we have to take the personal responsibility to keep ourselves in God’s will today in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

Heavenly Father, help me to live daily in the new reality of the begotten of God as I manifest His nature in thoughts, actions and words today in Jesus name
