Text: Romans
8:15(KJV)
The Spirit you
received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the
Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry,
‘Abba, Father.
Friends, we are in generation where the word
adoption is related to negativity as so many lives have been adopted with a
demand of fat ransom. But, the context on the above scripture is that we are being
adopted into the family of God which is a reality with several inheritance in
the kingdom. It means being accepted into the family of God through Christ as
it is a step into our divine benefits. Remember, we were once separated from
God because of sin but we have been engrafted back into His kingdom which gives
us access to new identity. Therefore, our reality changes as we are no longer a
slave but now a child of God. Ephesians 1:5 He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus
Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will. Yes, our adoption is
with His pleasure wrapped up by His will.
Interestingly, this spiritual adoption brings us
into His inheritance as we enjoy intimacy with God by our sonship package. 1 John3:1 See what great
love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!
And that is what we are. So, grace brought us to this redemption
package as we have been bought over into the family of God, Hence, we are no
strangers who are far away from God but are now lavished with His love which is
expressed both here on earth and eternity in view. It came to us as we yield
our hearts to salvation experience and we now have full rights as His dear
children. I pray we shall understand who we are in destiny because sin and fear
have no more dominion over us in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Thank you for adopting us into this divine reality as we have received the
grace to walk in love with confidence of a new identity today in Jesus name.
