Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Friends, the God we serve is the originator of light both physical, spiritual even the illumination in our soul. Yes, there is a light of scriptures that brings about the truth of God’s word and it takes the father of lights to flood our soul with this realm of understanding. 1John 1:7 If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another. Therefore, the good and every perfect gift that come to us as a blessing is received as we gain clarity and personal revelation of the plan of God concerning our destiny but let’s remain in fellowship with Him. It is important we stay connected in His word, His presence and in prayers as to continue to walk with the father of light by the influence of the Holy Spirit. We should never attribute our success or talents to ourselves because we have access to the creator of all. Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. He is the source and there is no uncertainty with the truth.

Amazingly, God is the source of all goodness as He is unchanging in the whole universe and in our hearts.  Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Hence, the brilliancy and purity of light came from the beginning of creation where God declared let there be light Gen. 1:3-4 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And from that moment, there was a flow of light that swallowed every form of darkness in all spheres of life. God is unchanging, so His nature is light as He is unwavering even concerning that negative circumstance before us today. I pray this light of the father will shine through our words, actions, and attitudes daily. I encourage us to embrace the father of lights and we shall witness the disappearance of darkness because at the instant of light darkness gives way in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

Oh Lords, make us to acknowledge our heavenly father as the root of all blessings, provisions, inner peace that replaces confusion, fear and sin today in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Remember to anchor with the father of light as to obtain good from the dark world.

Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell

Friends, the tongue is a very small member of the body but very powerful. So, if we must enjoy peace and long life let’s learn to discipline our tongues. However, if we do not offend in our words we are perfect as to be able to control our whole body. We must control our speech by being careful with what we say, how we say them and when we say them.  Proverbs 13:3 He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. It is a virtue to develop as it is a principle for a righteous living. It can kindle fire if not watched as it is also described as a world of iniquity. But, we can season our tongue today with grace. Colossians 4:6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

Amazingly, it has great power both to bless and to curse but we can choose to be a blessing with our tongues today. Proverb 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue.  Let’s make our words build and not tear down. Yes, the harm from the tongue if not controlled can damage and pull down relationships, families, businesses, nations and even institutions which is an expression of spiritual immaturity. Therefore, just like the horse is controlled with bits in the mouth to obey, so let’s fill our mouths with God’s word for a yielded heart for direction today. As we bridle our tongues we avoid hurtful, deceitful, gossiping and angry words and the fountain sent forth becomes sweet by filling your tongue with blessed, encouraging, and loving words. James 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. It can be guided by the Holy Spirit as to reflect Christ character and nature that brings about self-control in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

Heavenly father, help us not to destroy the great things we are building with our tongue because of carelessness in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Remember, words spoken cannot be taken back.

Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions

Friends, our faith in God is a currency that we need to unlock our divine promises. Hence, God’s storehouse is loaded with goodies but it takes absolute confidence in the capacity of God to receive our inheritance. Mark 9:23 If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. For instance, the men of old obtained good reports not by their strength or intellect but they achieved victories in all spheres of life by their belief in God. Eg Noah prepared the ark, Enoch got translated,  Abraham sojourned to the land of promise, Sarah received strength to conceive seed, Jericho wall fall down etc  So, faith as a key when reached to the deep, it pulls out the unseen and makes it a tangible reality. Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Therefore, faith can come by hearing again and again until God’s word is made personally clear before you can obtain the promise.

Interestingly, faith positions you to obtain what God has already prepared. But, we must engage our belief, speak according to His promise and then act according to God’s word until the manifestation comes through. Hebrew 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. What human effort can receive is limited compared to what faith can obtain as God will do exceedingly abundantly above our request. So, we can subdue kingdoms to obtain our divine inheritance if we can build up our faith today in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, teach us to hold firm our confidence in God as to obtain the promise without wavering as God cannot lie even in  that current situation in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Remember, faith turns man’s expectation of God’s promise into a practical reality.

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Friends, God has left us with an inner witness that helps us to serve the living God without spot. We are accused or executed in our conscience daily which helps us to do the right and walk away from evil.  Hence, the blood of Jesus Christ purges our conscience and cleanses us from dead works. Remember, a natural man is enemy to God but as we surrender daily from within, we live unto righteousness.  Therefore, to earnestly serve God with clear conscience, our minds must be ready and yielded for the living God when sin is purged away. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness

Unfortunately, the burdens in our soul hinders our fellowship with God. But the good news is that, guilt, shame and negative past memories are being purged by the everlasting blood of Jesus that speaks better than the blood of Abel and animals. Acts 24:16 I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men. So, His cleansing power is once and for all as it cleanses the core of our being which is our innermost thought. And today His blood shall cleanse and purify us from the guilt of condemnation in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT: 

1. Father, may the truth of God’s word today cleanse and make us ready for service as we worship Him in truth and in spirit in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Remember to apply the blood daily as to purge our conscience for the master use.

For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

Friends, we must recognize in a time like this that God’s promises are unshakeable by the unchanging nature of our father. We are backed up daily by the unfailing power of our creator. So, when God speaks it is a done deal. So, stop the doubt. He is not a man to lie as His promises are not subject to time, geographical location neither generational shift etc. Number 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Hence, God’s word are eternal and ageless. For example, Abraham’s childless age still came through. God still visited Sarah as He has spoken at the set time. It is God’s integrity to keep his words, so He cannot fail us no matter the life challenges today.

Amazingly, the sure word of prophesy is a finished work on the cross with Christ, therefore, let’s learn to rest our hope not on the size of the problem but on the certainty of God’s promises. Remember, if God said it, He will do it. If He made a promise, it will certainly come to pass. Psalm 89:34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. So, be rest assured to walk in peace and with boldness in the place of prayer that God is too faithful and reliable to His word. Joshua 21:45 There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass. However, the delay will not end in denial because of the dependability of our God. I pray we shall build confidence even when the circumstance seem impossible and threatening before us in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.       Father, thank you for the assurance of your promises through your word as you strengthen our faith to trust you no matter the oppositions in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Remember, God is persuaded to accomplish that good thing in you.

But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

Psalm 5:12 For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

Friends, we are prone to attacks as long as we in this world. But, the good news is that we have a shield of defense that surrounds us from the arrows of the wicked. Yes, there are arrows that fly by day and night but God has placed a thick shield to protect us as His dear children. We have a security covering that blocks the weapons of the enemy against us. So, we have defensive mechanism that guards us from harm. Remember,the shield does not remove battles but God covers us in the midst of the fire. Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

Interestingly, there are mysteries as weapons that God uses to keep us away from dangers. So, His shield covers, protects and grants us victory in all endeavours. So, our faith in God grants us the access to this ultimate protection that cannot be penetrated by the wicked. And he has given us guiding principles that defense us from either physical or spiritual attacks through His word. Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.  Therefore, He keeps us safe from trouble even in midst of the storm. So, let’s hide ourselves under his canopy because there are spiritual battles that we cannot imagine no matter our sensitivity with our carnal mind. I encourage us to build a deep personal relationship with Him as we trust and obey his word today in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.       Father, as I am surrounded by foes and betrayed daily, may the Lord’s shield of protection answer for me that will bring about peace unspeakable in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Remember, God has stepped in as our guard to both seen and unseen threat today.

But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.

Friends, we must get to a point of God’s approval and commendation which is based on the condition of our hearts, spiritual maturity and not based on the physical appearance that will fade away. Unfortunately, we are in a society that celebrates appearance, qualification, titles, social status etc but the standard of God is very different as He sees and weighs the inner man. Psalm 24:3-4 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart.. He sees the motive of actions, so we cannot package for God. We should be careful not to focus on the outer appearance only. Therefore, let’s purify our inner man as we spend time daily with God in humility and obedience for His will. And this makes us to be fit ready for His divine purpose.

Interestingly, God’s credential is within which is your inner man as He qualifies the unqualified for His divine assignment. Hence, it is your spiritual core personality that brings about your reality for selection. And it goes beyond your outward appearance as it includes our state of minds, thoughts, feelings, wills, soul in which God does the work of salvation for our transformation. So, God’s calling is from within and that is why Apostle Paul will always pray that we be strengthened with might by the work of Holy Ghost. Ephesians 3:16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man.  However, with your unimpressive resume, there is a louder voice that recommends us for heavens approval for His agenda. I pray we shall be qualified today by His criteria as He did to David even the youngest in the midst of his brethren in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.       Oh Lord, make us effective not based on our past but on our transformed inner personality as shaped by God today in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Remember, it is the Hold Spirit that molds and nurtures our inner reality.

Text:  Hebrew 4:14-16(KJV)

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Friends, the duty of a High Priest is to mediate between God and man.  He enters into the holy of holies to offer sacrifice for sin. But, our great high Priest offered himself ones and for all which is a perfect and eternal sacrifice. He is at the right hand of God interceding for us continually. He is not distant in your trials as an advocate. So, we can draw near to Him in confidence as to access the profitability of our High Priest as we hold fast our faith in Him. Hebrew 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him..

Amazingly, Jesus our great High Priest understands our pains, our weaknesses and all our struggles.  We can now approach God boldly as He has given us access into His presence. He walked through the earth, therefore He went through hunger, thirst, betrayals and even death, so He feels our sorrows and discomforts today. Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Hence, as we call on Him in prayers, he can relate to your life afflictions as He is touched with our infirmities, yet did not sin. Hebrew 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. He is the bridging gap between God and humanity in every life challenges even today in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.       Father, help us to run to Jesus our High Priest for help because His mercy and grace are new in every season as He stands with us in weakness in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Friends, He went through rejections like human beings, so He understands you.

I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth 

Friends, life is not always easy but we must make up our minds to stand in the plan and command of God for eventful living. So, the two seasons of sunshine with joy and storms of life co-exist, that means there are times of discomfort but as believers we must persevere in praises as recommended from our text today. Hence, the praise of God should not cease in our mouth despite the surrounding factors around your day. Like Paul and Silas in prison continued in praise to unlock the supernatural power of God for their ultimate release.  Acts 16:25-26 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake… Remember, God is there in good and hard times, so remain praiseful.

 Amazingly, we must choose to honour God even when you don’t feel like doing so. However, when expectations are not met and circumstances of life are harsh out of answers, we are also encouraged to praise God consistently as it is a principle that brings down the host of heaven for answers. Hab 3:17-18 Although the fig tree shall not blossom... Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.  For instance David in all his songs and writings was not in the palace neither in peace but was till praising God for who He is.  Therefore, our praises should not be dependent on feelings but should be inspired by our faith in God. So, our deepest desire and thought should be that God is still good, still sovereign and cannot fail even in that challenge in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT: 

1. Oh Lord, strengthen my spirit in trials as to trust God with continuous praise by discipline as to unlocks results at all seasons in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Friends, don’t allow challenges silence your lips of praises.

Text:  Psalm 63:1(KJV)

O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is.

Friends, early seekers have been profound key for early answers. Unfortunately, we encounter many that seek God as the last resort. But, there is need for a change of attitude as last seekers into early praise. We must learn to break into praise at all times not late after frustration but early. But, this journey starts as we make God our God, just like David said in the scripture above “O God, thou art my God”. Therefore, personal relationship is the key for better understanding. So, until there is a level of intimacy there cannot be thirst for the living God. Hence, the realm of longing for thee in a dry land where there is no water comes as we build confidence in the capacity of God as a lifestyle. Psalm 5:3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

Interestingly, we are not talking about physical timing, but setting God as a priority in all situations. Hence, early praise sets the tone before the rushing moments of decisions, choice, duties or distractions. So, as we put God first He leads us into favour and divine pastures. Mathew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. It is a spiritual strategy for peace as this early praise shields your heart from the noise of the world. Remember, your soul needs praise to function with joy into purpose this month and always in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.       Father, help us to align with the spirit of God and His presence early before the spirit of fear in the world takes hold of us in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Remember, as you hear God’s voice early, He sets you up to divine order for all.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name

Friends, we have a new gift of a new day, a new season and a new month of August. Congratulations. So, stop complaining and murmuring again. Yes, it is a fresh opportunity to align our hearts and minds with God as we stop the worries. His hands are open to receive us for greater heights but we must be ready by sensitizing the platform with praise for the big celebration ahead.  Therefore, we must define our engagement at the entrance, at the court and our journey will be loaded with blessings all the way. So, let’s learn to begin every event and day with praise by being deliberate to take step with praises thereby setting tone for victory. Psalm 92:1-2 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night

Amazingly, praise will shift our focus from the problems and fix it on the capacity of our God. It is a spiritual discipline that we need as to avoid being overwhelmed with life challenges just like Paul and Silas did in the prison as they choose to sing at their midnight season. Act.16. So, starting with praise makes us to place God where He is as the omega of all. Psalm 34:1 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.  Let’s choose praise despite the distress and the storms of life this new month of August and always in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.Father, help me to make praiseful sacrifice as fruits of my lips, as I acknowledge your good works and reliability in all in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Remember, praise is not based on your circumstance but a response to God’s command.

What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me?

Psalm 107:8-9 Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

Friends, it is my joy to welcome us to this last day of the month of July with exciting memories of God’s goodness. Unfortunately, many focus on the challenges and the lacks.  But, we must learn to reflect on who He is and not just what He has done. Yes, we went through each second of the month though with uncertainty, but here we are reflecting on God’s goodness despite the obstacles that we went through. Psalm 136:1 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever. You are here because the pressures of life did not overwhelm or consume you. Praise be to our God. It is important to look back and regurgitate on the goodness of God that He assures us that it will certainly follow us. Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Yes, His flow of kindness is not happening some days rather all the day of our lives. But, we must remain under His canopy for continuous experience of the goodness of God.

Amazingly, His goodness is a reality. We are not just knowing about God’s goodness but we can taste and see His nature of love and perfect kindness to His creatures as it is universal. Psalm 145:9 - The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.  So, God is not good occasionally, but He is always good, so we can show same to others today. Therefore, His generosity and excellence are consistent in all situations and dealings with humanity and nature. Psalm 84:11 Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness. Hence, it is important we reflect on His mercy that brought salvation, forgiveness, deliverance, favour, blessings and many benefits of the kingdom as this lives us with genuine heartfelt worship that flows deep down our soul. I pray His provisions and protections that surpasses all human efforts will remain with us as the unchanging God never fails in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.       Oh Lord, may Your goodness appear to us even in the coming seasons for an everlasting experience that brings about eternity as we see the hand of God at work in Jesus name.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Friends, we need to start dealing with our minds as to clear off negative thought as it requires both spiritual and practical measures. Although our environment is filled with several ills, we should allow our minds to be governed by God’s word. So, we must consciously discipline our minds to align and be guarded with His thought. Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.  It requires self-control that makes for clear way of thinking. Yes, in the world of mind pressure, we have been give the gift of sound mind. It is a treasure we must activate as to keep focus and anchor on the truth. 1 Cori.2:16 But we have the mind of Christ. So, the mind of Christ is a sound mind as our role model that helps us to live fearless with the truth as we reject lies and evil suggestions.

Unfortunately, many are busy with environmental news which lives us with fear. But the scriptures in our text today declares that God has not given the spirit of fear rather three basic nuggets for living - power, love and sound mind. So, we must guide our minds from emotional instability as it has left many with a life of uncertainty and tension. We have the prescriptions in Phil.4:8 Whatsoever things are true, honest, just, pure, lovely whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.  Therefore, let’s be guided through the Holy Ghost as we have access to mental strength to think right, where we choose faith over fear, clarity against confusion and peace instead of panic. Hence, the source of sound mind is the word of God which is accessible to us today in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.       Heavenly father, help me to reshape our toxic thought, refuse fear and worry as we embrace a renewed mind for a transformed life of peace in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Remember a sound mind is wise and takes godly decisions.

Text:  2 Timothy 1:5(KJV)

When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice, and I am persuaded that in thee also

Friends, there is a generational faith when built up, it can sustain even children yet unborn. This is a sincere and deep faith by His word which draws one into absolute obedience to the will of God. It is a faith that is rooted with genuine heart without any form of hypocrisy. Hence, it is a true heart trust that plays from family front and not just a religious routine as it flows daily. James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. So, Apostle Paul acknowledged that whenever he remembers Timothy, he is persuaded that he cannot be distracted because the same faith that was in his grandmother - Lois and mother – Eunice, he is convinced that it is in Timothy also. Let’s remember that he has been grounded by his root.

Amazingly, there is a pattern of faith that Paul saw in Timothy. So, the unfeigned faith is wholehearted and transparent with confidence in God. Romans 12:9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.  Hence it is a genuine faith, not forced, nor faked because it shows in conduct, choices and decisions. Like, Abraham staggered not at God's promise. Also, David, Job, etc. was consistent in their confidence in God. I pray we shall not live in pretense, pride, but follow honesty with God today and our family faith shall remain in JESUS name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.       Oh Lord help us to cultivate real faith that is not based on religious habits but that which is evident both in the private and in the public in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Remember to live a legacy of faith to your family.

Text:  1 Timothy 6:3-4(KJV)

If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
He is proud, knowing nothing.

Friends, the word of God is very comprehensive as it has all to make wise the simple. It is in it that we have life and even more abundantly as it is doctrinally correct with moral values. So, in the world filled with inspiring teachings, we must be careful to anchor ourselves to the word of our Lord Jesus Christ as it enriches our hearts to build faith. Proverb 4:20-22  My son, attend to my words... For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Remember, the wholesome word is uncorrupted and has right words that brings about healthy living as it is loaded with sound and nourishing words both for our spiritual and physical needs. Hence, the wholesome word is life, truth, hope and brings healing to our spirit, soul and body. Psalm 119:9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.

The wholesome word should not be disregarded as many are being misled and have gone astray because of half and partial teachings of the word of truth. So, it is the wholesome word that cleanses, builds up, corrects and lead us to godliness. Titus 1:9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. Therefore, let’s be careful not live on content that is diluted and polluted with worldly wisdom which has left us with an ill society. The wholesome word is full as it helps us to avoid error and nurture us with the truth. I pray we shall not remain malnourished with half-truth but be spiritually rooted in Christ for all round growth in Jesus name

Friends, there are ups and down as life can be overwhelming. Yes, a times come when it seems hard and discouraging to do good especially in our world of today. But, it is at that moment we must learn tenacity and never to faint. There is a pay day and that is why we should not give up on doing good neither will you allow anything to discourage you. We see situations when doing good are unnoticed, thankless or even a case where you don’t get recognition by men or even the environment, but we are encouraged to renew our strength like the eagle. 1 Cori 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. Certain times, we see cases that we are discouraging and we tend to compromise goodwill as weariness creeps in, but we should keep pressing for good.

Interestingly, the benefits should keep us on the right path. Hence, Paul is encouraging from the scripture - Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. We should remember that a harvest is promised if we faint not. Although, it looks as if there is no fruit coming from God or even people around us, but we must fix our minds on the joy set before us. Be assured that God has a timetable and He will bring it to pass as your labour is a seed of obedience that must bear fruit in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.       Oh Lord, strengthen me when I am weary as you remind me of the rewards and blessings that awaits me if I keep doing right in Jesus name.

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him

Friends, have you realized that trials are permanent through life but God’s promises are way out to walk out in hope no matter the gravity of hard times. Yes, we can see that pain and disappointment finds their way into our journey in life without invitation. Hence, the word of God encourages us not just to endure hardness as a soldier of Christ rather to persevere through the process. So, this can be possible if we hold firm to God’s promises. Romans 8:18 - I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Therefore, perseverance is an unwavering trust in the capacity of God even when the challenge is undefined.

 Amazingly, perseverance turns out to be a blessing according to James. Also, James 1:2-4 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.  So, perseverance is a test as it proofs the sincerity of your genuine faith in God. Therefore, let’s allow the trial opportunity grow our character, deepen our faith and move us closer to the ultimate reward of the crown of life. Hebrew 10:36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised. For instance, men of old like - Abraham, Job, Daniel, Ruth, Hannah and even Paul had several reasons to curse God and turn back, but they held on to their hope in God despite the pain, death, imprisonment, delay, furnace of fire etc Therefore, let’s remain in hope as we praise God through trials like Paul and Silas because perseverance will keep you a testimonial in your generation. I pray we shall make our valley a preparation ground to the mountain top in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.       Father, strengthen my heart not to fail at the peak of life challenges as He turns the pain a platform for spiritual growth with rewards in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Remember, trials has expiring date with reward as an evidence.

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Friends, as believers, we must recognize that we are faced daily with battles on every side. It is a battle worth fighting because God is backing and empowering us. Although, many are invisible battles but they exit either physical or spiritual. But, the good news is that it is a good fight because we are on the winning side with Jesus before us. Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. So, the war before us is already worn with our belief and faith in God through Christ Jesus as He finished the battle on the cross. Yes, Paul is calling it a good fight not because it is easy but, it is noble, victorious, and ultimately, there is an eternal reward which is a crown that never fades.

Beloved, fighting this good fight requires our trust in God as we hold on to our profession of faith.  James 4:7 Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Therefore, we must be courageous and vigilant in life challenges as we stand strong with God. Yes, there are trials, temptations and discouragements in our journey today but we must resist the enemy by standing firm as soldiers and the army of God. 2.Tim.4:7-8 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness… Friends, the promise of God is sure so, it is important we build our confidence in God despite the oppositions today because we shall end up with spiritual strength and growth if we don’t give up in JESUS name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.       Oh Lord, with unwavering trust in God who has worn the world, strengthen me in the altar of prayers with spiritual alertness in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Friends, faith empowers you to win but does not eliminate battles.

But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Friends, we must develop a life of constant and intimate fellowship with God beyond the noise. Hence, it is possible by agreement and alignment with God. It is a life of devotion which comes as we commune with Him in everything and everywhere as it was the original design of humanity. We can see how God walked with Adam in the cool of the day, and His desire is to dwell and delight with His people at all times. Therefore, it is this intimacy that rubs His divine nature on us that brings about a walk with God. Also, Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. Enoch exemplified communing with God as He maintained a personal fellowship with God for years. It is a life where communication, obedience and love flows freely between with the creator and the created.

Amazingly, without commune with God we suffer spiritual weakness and dryness. But, we can cultivate a life of commune with God by a heart to heart conversation with Him.  So, through study, meditation of His word, daily prayers, and aligning in obedience to fellowship with Him, we increase our deep intimacy with the Master. John 15:4-5 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. ... for without me ye can do nothing.  It is this deep interaction that brings about friendship with the father just like Jesus often withdraws to a lonely place. Luke 5:16 And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.  I pray He will reveal His secret as we commune with Him today in JESUS name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.       Oh Lord draw me deeper as I abide in your presence and strip off every form of distraction in fellowship with you in Jesus name.
