The wholesome WORD

 

Text:  1 Timothy 6:3-4(KJV)

If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
He is proud, knowing nothing.

Friends, the word of God is very comprehensive as it has all to make wise the simple. It is in it that we have life and even more abundantly as it is doctrinally correct with moral values. So, in the world filled with inspiring teachings, we must be careful to anchor ourselves to the word of our Lord Jesus Christ as it enriches our hearts to build faith. Proverb 4:20-22  My son, attend to my words... For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Remember, the wholesome word is uncorrupted and has right words that brings about healthy living as it is loaded with sound and nourishing words both for our spiritual and physical needs. Hence, the wholesome word is life, truth, hope and brings healing to our spirit, soul and body. Psalm 119:9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.

The wholesome word should not be disregarded as many are being misled and have gone astray because of half and partial teachings of the word of truth. So, it is the wholesome word that cleanses, builds up, corrects and lead us to godliness. Titus 1:9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. Therefore, let’s be careful not live on content that is diluted and polluted with worldly wisdom which has left us with an ill society. The wholesome word is full as it helps us to avoid error and nurture us with the truth. I pray we shall not remain malnourished with half-truth but be spiritually rooted in Christ for all round growth in Jesus name

PRAYER POINT:

1.       Father, help us to be sensitive to right and pure words that is able to make us whole by engaging the totality of the gospel and avoiding unfruitful doctrine in Jesus name.
