Text: Genesis 41:16
(KJV)
And Joseph answered
Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.
Friends, we must learn to make this statement
of submission to God as a sign of humility to His will. Yes, we are vessels but God is the source of
all. So, from the scripture above Joseph was telling Pharaoh that it is not in
his ability to interpret dreams but in God. Hence, he has no personal power or
wisdom rather all His sufficiency is from God almighty. 2 Cori.3:5 Not that we are
sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency
is of God. And so, secrets are revealed by God not by man’s ideology because
they are mysteries to us. Remember, it is a divine gift as the ability and
strength of our talent is from God. And today, we must learn to acknowledge God
as the true source of our wisdom in that skill. Therefore, our talents, gifts,
abilities should point people back to God as our dependence is from Him. And we
have to learn to make our boast in God as a way to recognize him daily. John 15:5 I am the vine, ye
are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth
much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Amazingly, we can see that Joseph used this
significant moment to witness God to Pharaoh. Though, he was forgotten in the
prison but now with the privilege to stand before King Pharaoh, he made maximum
use of the opportunity. He does not want to take the glory at all. Hence, this teaches
us that the wisdom, solution, breakthrough are all from God and not ourselves. Daniel 2:27-28 Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, The secret
which the king hath demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the
magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto the king; But there is a God in heaven
that revealeth secrets… Also, we can see that Daniel recognized that
there is GOD who reveals secrets. too. Indeed, it is not by our power nor by
our might but His grace will continue to make it great as we declare that ‘it
is not in us’ in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, in my work, ministry, or studies, teach me to
acknowledge God as the source of my success for my sufficiency is in Him in Jesus name.
ACTION
QUOTE: Remember to recognize that there is a mystery behind the action which is
supernatural, so give God the credit.
