The Peace Of Mind

Text: John 14:27 (KJV)

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Friends, it is important we develop inner calmness which is free from every form of worries and not the world type of peace. Yes, regardless of what is happening externally you must learn to maintain inner peace. It is a settled thought free from any form of anxiety with pressures around the world. Hence, you are not disturbed based on the challenges rather you are emotionally stable by your trust in God. This is not a temporary kind of peace rather the peace that passes human understanding which is not based on the happenings around but on God’s promises. Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.  This is basically possible in the midst of the storm by the assurance and confidence that God is absolutely in control. So, we can bring comfort in uncertain times by leaning on God and His Word. In essence, peace of mind is not the absence of problems, but the presence of tranquility and trust that helps you face life without being consumed by worry. Let’s go for this divine gift because we can sleep in the midst of the storm like Jesus did as we come unto Him. .Math 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Unfortunately, many make the mistake of assuming that peace of mind is found on material or human wealth. Amazingly, it is a gift from God alone as we embrace Him today. Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Therefore, when we cast our anxieties on the Lord in prayer, in fellowship, in obedience and choose to trust Him, His peace acts as a guard over our hearts and minds. This peace is not about the absence of challenges but about the presence of Christ within us. So, we too can experience rest in our souls when we let Him take charge of our fears and uncertainties today in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, help me to trust You with every burden and to rest in Your presence as a lifestyle no matter the circumstances in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Friends, don’t’ allow worries to steal your peace of mind.

Guarding our Mind Gate

Text: Proverbs 4:23

KJV - Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life

NIV - Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it

Friends, we have to watch over what we allow into our minds as it is a gateway to good and evil. This determines what makes our thought what it is today and what become of us in the future. Therefore, let’s be spiritually discipline to watch over our minds. It is a major gateway to our existence. Unfortunately, many minds have been harmed by this careless lifestyle. We can learn to pause as a habit before reacting as well as control to limit our violent media engagement. Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Hence, we can replace the negative words with the truth of God’s words as a guarding principle into our mind gate today. So, refuse what corrupts rather embrace what builds up. However, our prayers, worship, Holy Spirit and scriptural encounters when flooded in our hearts replaces the toxic thoughts for a productive outcome. So, we should not allow the enemy to seek access into our minds but we should allow the Word to shield and filter our minds daily. Psalm 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee

Amazingly, we can decide what stays in our memory. The decision is ours, as we can filter negative substance from gaining access into us by a consistent stay with God. Isaiah 26:3  Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee. I encourage us to discard unwanted news that flash into our memories this season because they can trigger fear, anxiety and unwanted habits if not regulated. Let’s shape our mind input and our inner responses today. Remember, a city gate determines what enters and leaves therein, so your mind filters thoughts, ideas, and influences your decision. I pray we shall keep away destructive thoughts in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, help us to guard the mind gate with God’s Word, prayer, and discernment, then we shall begin to flow peace, truth, and wisdom today in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Remember to treasure God’s words as to guard to your mind.

A Healthy Thought

Text: Philippians 4:8(KJV)

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things

Friends, we have to discipline our thoughts in a way that it will support our mental, emotional wellbeing which automatically affects our physical life. A healthy thought is not just a good idea but thoughts rooted on the truth of the word of God.  Proverb 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. We should stop choosing the negative “what if’s” or “failures” rather dominate your mind with God’s promises and His unfailing love. Therefore, it is important we cultivate a thought that will help us navigate life challenges which comes without a schedule. But, a well-developed thought can handle unnecessary stress that we go through in life. Hence, we need to be positive and balance our thinking as we build capacity for a healthy thought. You must learn not to tear yourself down through unhealthy thoughts rather believe you can try again even when there is an error. So, resist that unhealthy thought today because it can drain or destroy you instead of building you up. Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God

Interestingly, we can focus on things that has positive values that brings uplifting and hopeful thoughts and not constantly dwelling on worries and self-criticism. Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. Yes, healthy thought empowers and motivate us to grow wisely and make wise choices from within. So, the end result of a healthy thought is a calm and peaceful life that takes away stress which is prevalent in our time. But, I pray we shall build up our thought with right words based on the scriptures today in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, help me to shape my life with positive thoughts for impactful living that comes as a result of thought that are pure and lovely in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Remember, to build strength in your thought rather than fear.

The FACE of GLORY

Text: 2 Corinthians 3:18(KJV)

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord

Friends, there is a face of unveiled presence of God which is a revelation of the nature of God. Yes, we can walk into this realm by exchanging our human nature with the supernatural by an encounter.

Remember, we cannot shine without Him, there is a limit to our glory by our efforts. Hence, as we keep

stirring on him we become the epitome of His glory and honour. This comes as we dwell in and with him for the beauty of heaven to rub on us just like when Moses had encounter with Him, the glory of God was seen, too. But, in the new covenant we have an access to a greater and unfading glory of God which is in Christ Jesus. This glory is an experience of transformation that influences our character, attitude and actions as we reflect and embrace Jesus. Remember, it is the spirit of God that influences our minds to become like Him. So, the more we look to Him, the more His light radiates in our lives, influencing how we live, speak, and relate with others. 2 Corinthians 4:6 - For God, who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness,' made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ

Amazingly, there is growth in His glory.which swallow our shame and fears in the face of challenge. Then, as we behold the face of God we cannot remain stagnant in glory. Our image is changed from glory to glory into the reality of Christ.Psalm 24:7 Lift up your heads, O gates, and be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Let's welcome His all round glory into our lives today. We must be careful not to take His glory lightly as it brings His life of humility, compassion, love etc into us.

Therefore, we are invited to intimacy with God by reflecting Him in all that we do which brings strength and spiritual radiance as they see God is us today in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

Heavenly Father, thank You for revealing the face of glory through Jesus Christ as you help me to continually behold Your glory with an unveiled heart and be transformed into Your likeness in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Remember to make your life to radiate His light as to influence your environment for His glory.

The Canopy in His Secret

Text: Psalm 27:5(KJV)

For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

Friends, as believers we enjoy an overshadowing shield which is a protective covering upon us. This is a corner that provides protection for God’s children even in time of danger and uncertainty as He sees beyond our eye sight. His secret canopy keeps us safe and secured from the attacks of the enemy both seen and unseen. So, as we hide ourselves under His secret, it stands as a place of communion and intimacy with an evidence of His presence. Unfortunately, many are spiritual dry because of lack of fellowship as to experience the mystery in the secret place. But, we have God though invisible but He is a shield for our defence. Like Daniel was hid under God’s canopy even in Lion’s den.  Psalm 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Remember, He is ever ready to keep His children safe as He grants us peace and closeness to Himself even this season. Psalm 91:4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Amazingly, His canopy is the covering that preserves us from the attacks and arrows that fly by day and night.  So, it is His canopy that brings us to a place of peace on every side which we enjoy today as He hides us in His pavilion. Nahum 1:7 The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. Remember, we have a rock that hides us in the time of trouble, so we cannot be removed. Hence, He brings us into deep intimacy and communion in His presence because His canopy is an anchor and a shield that will not fail us. Colossians 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. And by His mercy, our total life is hid and wrapped up with Christ in God forever in Jesus name

PRAYER POINT:

Father, take us to the hidden place of your presence where the enemy shall not be able to pluck us out of your hands in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Remember to remain in His secret place for safety.
