Text: Psalm 27:5(KJV)
For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in
his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me
up upon a rock.
Friends, as believers we enjoy an overshadowing
shield which is a protective covering upon us. This is a corner that provides
protection for God’s children even in time of danger and uncertainty as He sees
beyond our eye sight. His secret canopy keeps us safe and secured from the
attacks of the enemy both seen and unseen. So, as we hide ourselves under His
secret, it stands as a place of communion and intimacy with an evidence of His
presence. Unfortunately, many are spiritual dry because of lack of fellowship
as to experience the mystery in the secret place. But, we have God though invisible
but He is a shield for our defence. Like Daniel was hid under God’s canopy even
in Lion’s den. Psalm 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most
High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Remember, He is ever
ready to keep His children safe as He grants us peace and closeness to Himself even
this season. Psalm 91:4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his
wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Amazingly, His canopy is the covering that
preserves us from the attacks and arrows that fly by day and night. So, it is His canopy that brings us to a place
of peace on every side which we enjoy today as He hides us in His pavilion. Nahum 1:7 The LORD is
good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in
him. Remember, we have a rock that hides us in the time of trouble,
so we cannot be removed. Hence, He brings us into deep intimacy and communion
in His presence because His canopy is an anchor and a shield that will not fail
us. Colossians 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life
is hid with Christ in God. And by His mercy, our total life is hid and
wrapped up with Christ in God forever in Jesus name
PRAYER POINT:
Father, take us to the hidden place of your presence where the enemy shall not
be able to pluck us out of your hands in Jesus name.
