Text:1 Chro 13:14
(KJV)
And the ark of God remained with the family of Obededom
in his house three months. And the Lord blessed the house of
Obededom, and all that he had.
Friends, there
is need for us to inquiry in which case we must bring back the ark of our God
to us. And this ark, is the presence of God which gave them direction and rest
on every side. Hence, David gathered all Isreal together as to bring back the
ark of the Lord that was afar, with a new cart out of the house of Abinadab.
So, David with the whole congregation played with all their might, singing with
their harps, timbrels, trumpets etc and came to the threshing floor. Rev. 11:19A Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and
within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant… Which
can be to you an ark of testimony. But, Uzza put his hands to
hold the ark, but the oxen stumbled. And this kindled the anger of God upon
Uzza and he smote and he died before God. We should not be casual with the powerful
presence of the Holy God with us. Therefore, let’s learn to reverence and host
the almighty in all that we do as we make room for God. Psalm 132:8 Arise, Lord, and come to
your resting place, you and the ark of your might.
Unfortunately,
fear came upon David that made him not to bring the ark to his home. But the
ark was carried to Obed-edom, in whose house the ark of God remained for three
months. The ark of the Lord remained in the
house of Obed-Edom the Gittite for three months, and the Lord blessed him and
his entire household.” – 2 Samuel 6:11. And to him it
was a blessing to his house and all that he had. So, we can enjoy extraordinary
blessing and favour today as a generation by welcoming and maintaining His
presence, too. And today, the Lord is
bringing His ark to your house for a blessing and not for sorrow in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, I welcome the
presence of God as the ark of the covenant that was a blessing to the house of
Obede-dom today in Jesus name.
ACTION
QUOTE: Remember to host God’s presence for the outpour of His
