Avoid wicked counsellor.

 

 

Text: 2Chro 22:3 (KJV)

He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab: for his mother was his counselor to do wickedly.

Friends, if I may ask, who is your advicer? Who is pushing you to do evil? Whose counsel are you walking under? It is important we guide ourselves with right counsellors because in the multitude of counsel there is safety. Proverbs 15:22 Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. We are in a world filed with life challenges and we need help which makes us to look for advice from others. But, we must be careful to know where we run to for advice because there are wicked counsellor all over us. Sometimes, they don’t look obviously evil rather they are coded time bumps that will explode soon.  Proverbs 19:20-21 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end. There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.

Unfortunately, we are guided by the voices we choose to listen to which influences our actions. Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But, the bible warns us on the dangers of taking advice from people that do not fear God. They can come in subtle manner that makes us to go against the will and the plan of God. But, watch out!  I pray we shall be sensitive to His leading because many voices of influence are pulling us out of God’s will. But, God will rescue us in Jesus name

PRAYER POINT:

1. Oh Lord help us to walk in the way of the Lord, as we seek counsel and wisdom from God and His word in Jesus name.
