Text: Mathew 4:4(KJV)
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every
word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God
Friends, we must recognize that there is a survival
food for man which sustains us to eternity. Yes, what the physical food is to
the body is what the spiritual food does to our inner man. You cannot live your
inner man hungry without proper food and expect effectiveness. A believer
becomes weak and vulnerable when not properly nourished with the right
nutrients. John 6:35 Jesus said, “I am the bread of
life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger. As we cannot depend
on yesterday’s food for today’s strength so, we need spiritual meal for a new
life in Christ. So, as we feed on the word, it supplies milk for the babies and
meat to the matured in faith. 1 Peter 2:2 As
newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.
Unfortunately, many destinies faith have been
stagnated because of inconsistency to the feeding on God’s word. Yes, we should
not allow this book of the Lord to depart out of our mouth rather meditate on
it daily. Psalm 119:103 How sweet are thy words
unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! The food for a
new life is in the word, prayer, fellowship and obedience to God’s word. Let’s
be careful to avoid starvation in this kingdom as to avoid being malnourished
without results. We must therefore, hunger and grow in grace as we become
fruitful on every side. Acts 2:42 And they
continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking
of bread, and in prayers. Hence,
as we ponder to mediate on the word, it makes the word digestible for its
usefulness today. I pray we shall feed on His word daily to grow in the
fullness of Christ in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Heaven father, help us to eat fresh and tasty meal without
occasional engagement of feeding on the word of God in Jesus name.
