The Spirit of Wisdom

 

Text: Ephesians 1:17 (KJV)

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him

Friends, there is a devotion that draws us to the Holy Spirit as we embrace supernatural understanding that comes from above. Hence, we know the truth through His Spirit. It is bestowed from God and very distinct from human intelligence. It is a gift of the Holy Spirit that makes us to have understanding of the truth of scriptures but we must earnestly covet to receive it. It is the spirit that grants us access to right and informed decision for righteous living. So, the spirit of wisdom is the richest asset that we need to draw any other virtue as Paul prayed same to the church in Ephesus. So, we can also ask from God today. James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Amazingly, we can receive this spirit of wisdom by cultivating a deep relationship in the place of prayer and fellowship with Him as we understand God’s way of doing things. It is a realm of divine insight in which God’s hidden truth can be made open as we intentionally seek Him. Isaiah 11:2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might… It is beyond the scope of human reasoning as it lunches us to deep insight from above.  This means the ability to see things with God’s perspectives and not human ideology today. I pray we shall enjoy this realm of divine wisdom with clarity and confidence with His peace in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.       Father help us to discern your will not according to our intellectuals or cleverness but to live on eternal truth and not temporary truth in Jesus name.
