The above only wisdom

 

Text: James 3:17 (KJV)

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy

Friends, we are in a world littered with all sorts of knowledge and philosophers. But, we must identify the root of our knowledge as many have alternative source of wisdom as against the above only dimension of God’s wisdom. Proverbs 2:6 For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. Therefore, where and what we walk as the root of our wisdom is important as many are walking with earthly or occutic wisdom instead of wisdom from above. We can see the result of the earthly wisdom as it ends with pride and confusion instead of humility as well as chaos in place of peace.

Interestingly, the wisdom from above is divinely rooted as God gives us liberally to all men as we ask in the place of prayer. Hence, we reflect the character of God rather than strife and confusion as a result of man’s ideology from intellectually wisdom. Ephesians 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. But, from the scripture above we can see that the proof of the above only wisdom is that it is first pure, full of mercy and good fruits with evidence of gentleness. It is important that we embrace the wisdom from above as it is imparted by the Spirit of Christ that brings about all round peace which is needed for our existence today in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.       Oh Lord help us to willingly yield to Godly counsel as prescribed by the word of God which is the manual of divine wisdom in Jesus name.
