God of again and again

 

Text: Psalm 126:1,4,6 (KJV)

When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.⁴ Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the south.⁶ He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

Friends, it is good to know that our God is relentless as He keeps coming through for us. He is in multiple times over doing good in all areas of our lives. So, if He did before, He still faithful to do it again and again as it is His pattern to eternity because He never fails. Yes, as human we faint and grow weary but God is constant with His promises. It is God’s nature to show up again even as He did to men of old and He is consistent in our contemporary times. We can see from the scriptures from Genesis to Revelation that His truth and mercy has been showing up to humanity as a God of over and over in all events, remember it is not because of our righteousness but for His love that cannot disappoint us. Lam 3:22-23 It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Interestingly, our God is a God of again and again as He repeated demonstrates His faithfulness by providing for His people in time of scarcity and abundance no matter the wilderness experience. Psalm 86:15 But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth. Hence, our God is still guiding and protecting His children repeatedly even today. Therefore, let’s build confidence in the relationship with God as He still able to deliver us from every form of life challenges. Psalm 106:43-44 Many times did he deliver them; but they provoked him with their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity. Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry. I encourage us to be rest assured that the God of again and again will continue to bring us comfort and hope even in that issue of concern today in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

Oh Lord help us to recognize your unending goodness that is upon us even to the next generation as a God of again and again in Jesus name.
