Dwelling in the Secret.

 

 

Text: Psalms 91:1-2 (KJV)

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Friends, God is inviting us to stay and remain in His presence. Hence, we must recognize that there is a place of safety and divine peace which is available to us by covenant. It is a place of promise as we keep our part of the deal. So, the scripture above assures us that we can abide under His canopy as we draw to Him, and there is protection as our shield which is not man made but divinely provided for us as many that run to the almighty. Psalm 27:5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

 

Interestingly, there is a hiding place which is a secret and sacred place under the wings of the Lord.  There is a no chaos there, no matter the turbulence in the society. Psalm 17:8 Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings. It is our refuge in the time of storm. So, we are loved, cared for and kept by the almighty with all provisions made available to us as His children. Remember, nothing can shelter us like the wings of the Lord today as we dwell in Him in Jesus name

PRAYER POINT:

1. Oh Lord teach us to hide ourselves behind the canopy of the Lord as we avoid every form of distractions in Jesus name.
