Divine encounter for transformation

Text: Genesis 32:26-28(KJV)

And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

Friends, if I may ask, where and when were your last places of encounters? Remember, divine encounters still exist which is a life changing experience that lives us with an unforgettable adventure. So, in divine encounters we meet deep and personally with God that lives us with a lasting change of character, direction and ultimately transformation in destiny that makes us to discover purpose. You can see the name of Jacob was changed to Israel as he declared “I will not let you go until you bless me”. Also in Exodus 3:-3-5 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. 5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.  Yes, God reveals himself personally as it is orchestrated divinely for a reason.  Hence, there is an inner and outward change that happens in every genuine encounter with divinity. Also, we can see that Jacob’s wrestle with God changed his name for a renewed destiny with a new identity. We must learn to always see such encounters as a privilege to meet with God just like Jacob did and also Paul. Acts 9:3-4 As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, ‘Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?

Interestingly, God still steps into people’s life for a spiritual, emotional and even physical encounters as to fulfil their purpose both here on earth and eternity in view. Mathew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Today, God is drawing us near in prayer, His word, worship in a way to change us for a blessing. Therefore, a divine encounter is not just a religious experience but a meeting point with God where His power, presence, and purpose collide with our human frailty living us with a brand new identity from weakness to strength, from fear to faith into divine purpose. And today is another opportunity to hunger for divine encounter in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, help me to position myself daily in the study of the word, in prayers for a fresh encounter that will turn my life around in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE: Remember, your encounter may not always be a dramatic vision or wrestling, but His Spirit lives you with a change on how you live, walk and see yourself.
