Text: Genesis 39:9 (KJV)
And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.
Friends, ask yourself - have I given up on a dream God once placed in my heart? Joseph’s gift of dreaming again and again shows that God plants dream in the heart of individuals. So, you too have a dream that shapes destiny. Yes, we all have dreams and aspiration, so it is not time to let them die but you can revisit that vision of yours. Our dreams points to our destiny in life. Unfortunately, Joseph dream stirred up envy in the hearts of the brethren but God’s thought is for our peace. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. But that envy did not stop the great dream because it finally came to pass. You cannot allow opposition to silence your dream but keep up your faith in God. However, many dreams have been buried because other external forces frustrated the dream but Joseph refused to let go rather he dreamed yet another dream. Therefore, let’s learn to remain open to fresh vision because God is not over with us despite the challenges that may delay our dreams today. Even if life knocked you down, “dream yet again”. Remember, there is power in God Given Dream that will make it to happen. Habakkuk 2:2–3 Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time… though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Amazingly, you can dream in the midst of trials if only we can lift our eyes and trust in God because His power is at work in us. Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. People may misunderstand, mock, or even fight against the vision God has given us. But stay put on God’s side. For instance, Joseph’s story teaches us that if God is the giver of the dream, He is also the keeper of the dream and will continue to walk with you to the end. And He will not allow anything to stop that dream from finding expression because it is for a generational deliverance. But, it is a matter of time, it will surely come to pass if we focus on the giver today in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, I receive grace never to stop my dream even when the oppositions are coming from very close brethren against the dream in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Remember, to hold fast to God’s promises even when the dream tarry.
