Burning for God

Text:  Jeremiah 20:9 (KJV)

But His word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, and I could not

Friends, this is a fire that overwhelms your emotions without resistance. It goes as far as shaping your thought and your choices in life and otherwise. This is a level of intense passion to stay to your root. You are not shaking nor drifting to several alternative distracting believers today. James 5:16 The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. You cannot literarily keep silent but get stronger to blow the trumpet of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.  Yes, this burning fire, shapes your speech and action as it draws from spiritual routine to divine urgency which keeps you ever ready and on fire for God. Levi 6:13 The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out. Beloved, we can return back with a heart that is aflame for God in our journey of pursuit.

Interestingly, there is need for a consistency on fire for the things of God. It lit intimacy with a bond that cannot be broken with God the father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. Friends, we need the fire of Holy Spirit to restore and fan our zeal again. Psalm 42:1 As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God.  It is a realm of absolute conviction inside out for the advancement of the work of God with a burning urge never to slow down as we look up for His second coming. Like Paul said, woe unto me if I preach not the gospel. So, your heart is consumed by His presence.  I pray we shall not be careless as many things are distracting us today as well as sin, but they shall not quench the great fire for our kingdom serve as God shall preserve our fire in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.       Oh Lord, set my heart on fire until the day of your coming as it shall be evident to my world in Jesus name.
