Text: Romans 12:11 (KJV)
Do not be slothful
in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.
Friends, there is a zeal that cannot
be quench despite the challenges of life that we are confronted with. Yes, it
is a zeal that flows from your inner man and cannot be frustrated out of focus.
This is that flaming desire that won’t let you give up or burnout no matter the
pressure whether internal or environmental. We should not allow disappointment
and distraction make you grow weary on the things God but we must be fervent in
Spirit, serving the Lord. Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for
men. So, do not allow anything extinguish your flame rather you can
connect with right people because passion is contagious.
Amazingly, passion is that push that drives you to pray when you
are tired without prayer points, to study God’s word as to know more, to
fellowship for more of His presence as well as to go all out to witness Christ
no matter the embargo. Galatians 6:9 Let us not grow weary in well-doing: for in due season we
shall reap, if we faint not. We must be careful because many are going
through life challenges that has fade away their passion on the things of God. Hence,
the spirit of “I use to” has overwhelmed them in serve. Therefore, we should be
alert and watch out for signals as they gradually creeps into the body of
Christ and individual believers today. Cheer up, let’s follow after God hard as
to keep up the fuel of your assignment to eternal end in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
1.
Heavenly father, deliver me from lukewarm as I
continue to boil in and out for the Master as you restore joy and zeal in Jesus
name.
