The precious cornerstone

 

Text: 1 Peter 2:6-7 (KJV)

Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold I lay in Sion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner.

Friends, as we can see there are different phases in life but we must understand our base. Usually, we do not see or accept the beauty of any product or a thing at first sight because the glory are covered. So, we usually condemn it, but the truth is its content and glory is always hidden but can be seen it if we look with eye scriptures. In our text of today, the stone which the builders rejected ended up becoming the chief cornerstone, and this is because they did not see the beauty at that initial time. Matthew 21:42- Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing and is marvelous in our eyes? Also, gold does not look beautiful at it’s raw state but after several processes of mining, it becomes so beautiful, and we end up wanting to buy and even expensive.

Frankly speaking, it is normal to get rejected because our beauty is not littered on the surface, so it is not good to dwell on that rejection because there is a hidden beauty that is about to show forth, therefore embrace it. Psalms 118:22- The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. Hence, we as God’s children, are chosen and elected by Him and are precious to Him too, so I urge you not to get frustrated or depressed because of the world’s rejection. We need to change our mindset because that old mindset is just making us not to see the hidden gift and content that we have. I pray God will unveil our hidden endowment for us to become an attraction to our society even as we are the light of world in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.Father, may we always remember that we have a foundation with the Lord as our chief cornerstone. So we are without rejection in Jesus name.
