The Blessed

Text: Mathew 5:3,5 (KJV)

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Friends, there is a word that encompasses all that we need in life. So, the blessed is state of being favoured by God that makes you to experience happiness which is greater than fat account as it is encompassing all. It is a character that Jesus pronounced to the disciples during His teachings and sermons on the mount which is call the Beatitudes. It is a word that brings about influence from within as it is expressed outwardly. We must therefore strive to live a life of the blessed as it is an honour and a reflection of the love of God. Mathew 5:7-8 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.  It is a life filled with the presence of God that brings about the deep relationship through prayers, worship and absolute obedience to God.

Frankly speaking, to be blessed means inner peace and contentment that comes from our trust in God. Psalm 37:11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.  Hence, we exhibit humility, meekness, kindness, gentleness and willingness to learn as we are open to live a life of purity of heart and singleness of mind as we get devoted daily to God. Therefore, we must cultivate a life of continuous spiritual growth as to maintain a life of the blessed who is not just receiving the blessing but has become a blessing to many as we please God in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.Oh Lord may my life be characterized with all round blessing as I continue to rejoice and live with gladness as a child of God that is comforted on every side in Jesus name.
