Text: Psalm 145:4-6(KJV)
One generation shall praise thy works to another,
and shall declare thy mighty acts. I will speak of the glorious honour of thy
majesty, and of thy wondrous works. And men shall speak of the might of thy
terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness
Friends, when we reflect on the
mighty acts of God in the bible days and in the contemporary time, it is an assurance
that God is able. These are supernatural deeds and wondrous works of the Lord
that demonstrate of sovereignty over creation. God’s power and actions cannot
be matched as they are not historical rather events that subdued nature and
science etc. Hence, we must build confidence in the capacity of our God as He
continues to rule and display His acts in our lives even today. In essence, He
is still working His wonderful works in the midst of His children. Eph 1:19-20 And what is the
exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the
working of his mighty power,
Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at
his own right hand in the heavenly places. So, we should not give up in the storm,
He can turn things around.
Interestingly, the
events of His acts explains God’s power, glory, love and faithfulness at all
times. Psalm 150:2 Praise him for his mighty acts;
praise him according to his excellence greatness. Therefore, in the face
of battles remember He is God of possibility as nothing shall be impossible
with Him for instance the parting of the red sea, the raining down of manna
from Heaven, the power of resurrection and many more are striking miraculous
acts that shows His supremacy over nature and man’s ideology. Psalm 92:5 O LORD, how great are thy
works! and thy thoughts are very deep. However, He is the same God yesterday, today
and forever. I pray we shall not look down on His acts both old and new because
He will still turn again our captivity around by His mighty acts in Jesus name.
