Text: Psalm 42:5-6(KJV)
Why
art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in
God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance. O
my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the
land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar.
Friends,
hopelessness can never yield a positive outcome. Though life weighs us down
because of delay and setbacks, but we should not give up rather turn your hope into
praise even when the full picture is not out. Yes, we go through life
challenges that cast down our soul but we should not allow the situation to
silence us to helplessness. Lam.3:24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore
will I hope in him. There is
still joy and reasons to praise God if we can tailor our countenance to the
help of the Lord. We should not live
disturbed by the current challenge rather we should put our hope in God who
never fails. Remember, we shall yet praise our God in spite of the storms of
life. We can keep off from the problem with praise as we gaze to the promise
keeper.
Amazingly,
the scripture above gives us the principle on how to manage hopelessness. It is
not a time to look upon mundane things rather hope in God as it gives us
assurance that we shall become. Romans 4:18 Who against hope believed in hope, that
he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken,
So shall thy seed be. We must
therefore speak to your soul to hope in God. This requires a living confidence
in God though not so easy but it can blossom into praise even before the
expectation and the answers come. So, I encourage you, your hope will not be in
vain in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
1. Father, make praise our natural outcome from that hopeless
situation as we look unto God for answers in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Remember, praise will
shift your focus out of that uncertainty and delay.
