Text: Psalm 1:2-3(KJV)
But his delight is in the law of
the Lord; and in his law doth
he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of
water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not
wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Friends, let’s
get excited and not just like a routine obligation to read the bible. But, we
should rejoice by spending quality time with this word of joy. Yes, we live in
the world where many are developing itching ears to the word of life, without
knowing, it is the hope for our tomorrow. It is an end time virtue, so flee.
But, as believers we should build our strength in God’s word by studying the
word cheerfully. Psalm 119:162 I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.
Hence, we must see the word of God as a treasure that we finally stumbled into,
the excitement is so obvious and not hidden. So, we can relate to the delight
that we receive from the word of God just like as we got a forgotten and most
cherished gift. The word of God are promises of precious jewel with eternal
value. So chew it today. They are not ordinary text but powerful to bring life
to our hearts.
I encourage us not just to read, study and fellowship with word
but get thrilled as we discover the mysteries embedded in the scriptures. Jere. 15:16 Thy words were
found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of
mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts. Unfortunately, such words come to
us as instructions that makes us to have itching ears but we must learn to get
thrilled by His word of hope today. I pray the Lord will stir up a hunger to
read, study, mediate in the word as to bear fresh fruit daily in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
1. Heavenly father, may your word continue to command light and
comfort to our path as it brings corrections in the day of uncertainty in Jesus
name.
ACTION QUOTE: Remember to respond with eagerness and passionate
attitude with His word.
