Text: Psalm 46:10(KJV)
Be
still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be
exalted in the earth
Friends, we
have labored enough, it is time to stop striving and let go for us to enjoy inner
peace on every side. Yes, there is a moment that we need to pause and think. It
is not a silent hour of inaction rather a moment of reflection that makes us to
fall back to our trust in God. It is the absolute dependence on the capacity of
our God that makes us calm and not depend on self- effort. Exo 14:13-14 And Moses said unto the people,
Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew
to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them
again no more for ever. The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your
peace. Hence, we retreat from busy schedule and allow
His leading. This is a powerful force
that brings God in the scene and not our efforts where we have labored without
evidence. Therefore, it is important to turn out from the noise of the world
and turn to the voice of God if only we can be quiet in our spirit, soul and
body. I pray it shall not only be physical quietness rather inner surrendering
to God.
Amazingly, the sovereignty of God is being demonstrated in that
face of fears and anxiety but let’s calm down and allow His control to
reign. We should learn to choose His
presence in place of busy activities that is distracting the society today. Isaiah 30:15 For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning
and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your
strength: and ye would not. Remember, stillness of God does
not mean the absent of God in the days of uncertainties and chaos. I encourage
us to discipline ourselves in the noisy world and turbulence for His clear leading
today in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
1. Oh Lord, teach me to be still as to hear the voice of Your
presence and direction by acknowledging that God is in control in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Remember to be quiet in your heart despite the
environmental noise today.
