Text: Psalm 46:10(KJV)
Be
still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be
exalted in the earth.
Friends, in our world of distraction and noise, it has become
strange to be still. But, this is a quiet moment where our antenna is picking
signals from heaven. Hence, we must be sensitive to such a moment because God
can call us at the quiet moment for a conservation or an instruction.
Therefore, that still and inactive moment is not the moment without His
presence. There is a powerful force in that stillness. Though, it can be a
wilderness hour of uncertainty, but learn to utilize it positively.
Unfortunately, Satan has made mess of many destinies because there is a voice
of loneliness and discouragement which has led many to depression. But, Jesus
will always withdraw into the mountain for His presence even in the midst of
the crowd. Luke 5:15-16 But so much the more went there
a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be
healed by him of their infirmities. And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and
prayed.
Interestingly, we must learn
to explore the spiritual benefits of such a season as we can hear the clear
voice of his instructions and the peace of God in our hearts. Psalm 62:5 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.
There is a spiritual renewal and revitalization of our strength at that calm
moment. So, stillness is not weakness but a time we allow God to rule over all.
For instance we see Jesus always withdraws from the crowd for a quiet time as
to commune with God the father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. However, it is a
moment to recharge for the journey ahead. Yes, we can build trust in His
capacity at the quiet moment. I pray we shall maximize the power in the
stillness of our lives in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Father,
help us to develop our still moment that will reveal the true power that is in
Christ as He incubates us with His glory in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Remember, stillness is no noise, no music, no request etc as to attract the Holy Spirit into our hearts.
