Text: 2Chro 12:7
(KJV)
And when the saw that they humbled
themselves, the word of the Lord came to Shemaiah, saying, they have humbled
themselves; therefore I will not destroy them but I will grant them some
deliverance; and my wrath shall not be poured out upon Jerusalem by the hand of
Shishak.
Friends, the eyes of the Lord is running to and fro
throughout the whole earth seeking for men with a humble heart. This is a
beautiful attitude of seeking less of yourself but more of God. Hence, God will
continue to show himself strong upon such individuals whose heart is perfect
towards Him. Mathew 23:12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and
he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. This is a genuine heart of service that brings about largeness of
heart, as God sees it, and He shall save us from all forms of destruction. So, we
must desire for an acceptable walk with God, to live a life of humanity.
Humility can deliver us from that wrath of God that it shall not be poured upon
us. God opposes
the proud but gives grace to the humble." — James
4:6. Remember, pride
builds wall against us and God.
Interestingly,
it is a sworn verdict for a life of humility to seek the Lord as He grants us all
round rest. This is what brings about humble attitude for a life of peace. And
this can be possible when we enter into covenant with all our hearts and all
our soul. And I pray we
shall all enter into true greatness with a life of humility in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
1. Father, help us to recognize the
need of God in every moment and day of our lives in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Remember, Jesus modelled
humility as He chose to serve all.
