Christmas
WEEK
Text: Isaiah
9:6 (KJV)
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the
government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful,
Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Friends, Jesus peace is the greatest peace even though the world
is under attack on regular bases. But, He is the peace that surpasses all
understanding. This is an important season in our Christian life, therefore,
let’s embrace the giver of peace. The Christmas season brings about reflections
of lightings, exchanges of gifts, heartfelt expression of love which ultimately
create an atmosphere. We feel joy and
brightness all around us with merriment, so let’s welcome the prince of peace
in our hearts and families today. So, Jesus is inviting us to enjoy rest
unspeakable on every area of our lives as God has promised us that there is no
end to His government of peace. Isaiah 9:7 Of the increase of his
government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon
his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice
from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. Also, our reconciliation with Jesus brings about an experience with
the prince of peace.
Amazingly,
the way forward is to keep our eyes on perfect peace that is in Christ Jesus
even in that difficult moment. Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is
stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Hence,
let’s focus our minds and hearts on His promises. We are never lonely nor
abandon. Remember, His hope and peace are near you in that difficult moment of
your life. Are you tempted to loss heart because of worry and life challenges?
Jesus is not far from you in that situation. The beauty of this season is to
lighten up your burden. His yoke is easy if only we can allow his presence in a
time like this. So, as we bring our burdens to Jesus, he takes over the concern
and gives us His peace in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, may God swallow whatever is
disturbing our peace of mind in this season in Jesus name.
ACTION
QUOTE: Remember,
you can keep and enjoy peace as we keep the presence of the prince of peace.
