Dwell richly by God’s Word

 

Text: Colossians 3:16(KJV)

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Friends, it takes a load of carriage to be able to dispense your content to others because when you are fully endowed you will automatically release to others. So, let’s allow the word of God to dwell richly in us because as our rule book of knowledge, it makes it possible for it to direct our paths. For instance, in every team, there is rule book and it takes knowledge of the content, for you to abide by the principles.  So, it is very vital to be familiar with the rules as to avoid violating the rules of the game.  Proverb 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heat: and lean not unto thine own understanding. Remember, there is always a penalty that follows when the guiding rules are not followed. So, it is important to make the word live and reside in us by making a home in us by the word of God.

Interestingly, we must allow the word of God to rule in our hearts which can only be possible if we dwell therein day and night. John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.  Therefore, just like the umpire or referee controls the game by enforcing the rule book, so we are to feel, say, think and do all by the control of the indwelling presence of God’s word. Therefore, we should allow the gospel to rule us as individuals and also collectively as a body in all our adventures as we dwell richly in God’s word in Jesus name.

1. Father help us to live daily in songs, hymns, psalms as we teach and admonish others from the overflow inside out in Jesus name.
