Rise with a New Song

Text: Psalms 40:3 (KJV)

And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.

I want to ask this question, what is the first thing you do once you wake up (like literally the moment you open your eyes)? Do you pick up your phone and scroll through social media, or do you thank God for the opportunity given to you? Many of us take waking up as a norm, but that is not meant to be so. The truth is that many people would have loved to be awake this morning, but they are not awake. Many might have had plans for today, but it is to no avail because none of those things matter anymore. As believers and true children of God, we are meant to wake up with a new song. This song is like a greeting to God. We know how once a child wakes up, he/she goes to greet their parent, the same way it is for us as children of God. This greeting to God is like an offering to Him because He made us to be alive, but before you can thank God or sing a new song to Him, you have to reflect on His wonders in your life. Psalm3:5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked for the Lord sustained me. The greatest wonder among all of them is the gift of life, it is not the money or the food, because once a person dies, none of those things matter, so we are meant to sing a new song to Him for that. This new song is not an anyhow song, but it is a song that reflects His great works in our lives and we are meant to sing it joyfully and loudly. Psalms 33:3- Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise. Learn to SING LOUD because He has done LOUD MIRACLES. Beloved, it would be the best if you had a new song to unlock and sustain that miracle.  It is an unexplainable and explosive realm.

The truth is, God, has done many wonderful things for us this season, so we should be grateful for them. If you cannot think of one, He has brought you out of the horrible pit and from miry and slippery clay (like that is the worst scenario that can ever happen to you). Do not forget His wonders to you so quickly. He basically delivered you from that situation you are in or the one you are about to experience, so sing that song to Him. I tell you, this new song we are talking about is the one which can turn situations around also. It is an effortless and noiseless song where you abandon all to God, to be frank, I cannot even explain it. It is the one that makes people wonder, “what kind of God is he/she serving?” Matthew 8:27- But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this……Isaiah42:10- Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof. This new song is also the one that can convert those your long prayer requests to testimony, which would make the world shake, so why miss this privilege. It is never too late to start singing one; where you are right now start singing and see all your prayer become a testimony. Hallelujah!!!!!

PRAYER POINTS:

1.God, please help us always to recognize You, so that we will sing a new song to You, in Jesus name.

2. Oh Lord, please cause our new song to shake the world and to know You better, in Jesus name.
