Guidance for our nation

 

Text: Psalm 32:8(KJV)

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Friends, every nation great or small needs guidance. So, to rise, thrive, or decline as a nation is also based on the voices we follow. Today’s scripture reminds us that God is committed to guiding individuals as well as nations.  God sees what we cannot see, like the future and hidden dangers ahead. We are in a time as a nation when we need God’s light to shine on every decision concerning our nation. Psalm 22:28 - For the kingdom is the Lord’s: and he is the governor among the nations. Yes, we need God to lead us on the right path and deliver us from every form of confusion, corruption, genocide, killings and conflicts etc. Hence, to establish peace, unity, and righteousness within our borders, divine guidance is a prerequisite. Remember, it is in the guidance of God that we enjoy wise and just leadership that birth peace instead of unrest. So, the unity across tribes and regions as well as economic stability and fairness can be possible by divine guidance. 2 Chronicles 20:12 - Neither know we what to do, but our eyes are upon thee.

We have to be intentional as citizens to contribute in the wellbeing of our nation by praying intentionally for our nation to be led by God. Isaiah 30:1 Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin. We must desire and incorporate godly values that expresses love and compassion to others. But, we need divine leading that influences our decisions. Therefore to promote peace and unity in our daily interactions, we have to walk in integrity and discourage corruption among citizens. I pray we shall allow God’s guidance for our nation as to see a future filled with hope even in this season, in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT: 

Oh Lord, may your divine guidance rest upon our nation Nigeria as God directs our leaders, defend our borders, and strengthen our people in Jesus name.
