Text: Isaiah 26:4 (KJV)
Trust ye in the Lord forever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is
everlasting strength.
Trust (confidently) in the Lord forever, For the Lord
God is an everlasting Rock (the Rock of Ages) (Amp)
Friends, life will always present uncertainties,
pressures, and challenges that can shake your confidence. So, we can see that
storm is an integral part of life. Yet, the scripture above according to prophet
Isaiah, gives us a powerful instruction to trust in the Lord forever. This is
not temporary trust based on circumstances, but a continuous reliance and
dependance on God. Psalm 118:8 - It is better to trust in the
Lord than to put confidence in man. God is described here as the
everlasting strength which means He is a rock that never weakens, changes, or
fails. Though, human strength can fade, and worldly support will certainly disappoint,
but God remains constant. So, when we anchor our trust in Him, we draw from a
strength that never runs dry. Proverb 3:5-6 Trust
in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In
all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Interestingly, our life of trusting God means
depending on His wisdom to go through the process even when we cannot see the
full picture of the plan. It requires us believing that His plans are greater
than our fears and that His power is sufficient and more than enough for every
situation we face. Jeremiah 17:7–8 – Blessed is the
one who trusts in the Lord whose hope the Lord is. He shall be as a tree
planted by the waters and spreadeth out her roots by the river and shall not
see when heat cometh….. Therefore, when we cultivate this lifestyle of
trust, we experience peace, stability, and confidence, knowing that God is in
control of that challenge before you from the past, present and the future
difficulties in Jesus name.
Prayer Points:
- Lord, help me to completely trust You in every area of my life,
even when circumstances seem uncertain in Jesus name.
- Father, strengthen my faith so that I rely on Your everlasting
power and not on human strength in Jesus name.
Action Quote: Remember, when your trust is in God, your
strength will never run out.
