Text: Genesis 26:13 (KJV)
And the man waxed great, and went forward and grew until
he became very great.
The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow
until he became very wealthy (NIV)
Friends, the outcome of a walk of obedience with God
is a life of great increase. We can see from the scripture above that the
result of God’s blessing on Isaac’s life was that he became very wealthy. His
faithfulness and obedience led not only to multiplication in his fields which
we saw hundredfold blessings that brought envy but also to personal growth and
influence. He became great in wealth and reputation. Deuteronomy
8:18 - But
thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to
get wealth that he may establish his covenant. This shows us that God gives you the power to get blessings, and it affects
every dimension of our lives - spiritual, personal, family, and even material. Therefore,
true greatness is not achieved by human effort alone; it is as a result of
God’s favour combined with diligence and obedience. This is what makes us to
become great and continue to grow greatly. Psalm 115:14–15 The Lord shall increase you more and
more, you and your children. Ye are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and
earth.
Interestingly, as believers, when we honour God,
trust Him, and remain faithful, He positions us to grow beyond our natural
capacity. It is important we delight in Him as we are like that tree planted by
the riverside. Proverbs 10:22 - The blessing of the
Lord, it maketh rich, and He addeth no sorrow with it. Remember, growth
may come in different forms like resources, opportunities, influence, or wisdom.
But let’s be encouraged to always glorify God in our increase as He takes us to
the mountain top and we shall also benefits others in Jesus name.
Prayer Points:
- Father, let Your blessing increase my life in every area and
bring influence for Your glory in Jesus name.
- Lord, help me to remain faithful and humble as You make me great
in Your sight in Jesus name.
Action Quote: Remember, God’s blessing doesn’t just multiply
resources; it multiplies your capacity and impact.
