The Highest Name – JESUS

  

Text: Philippians 2:9-11(KJV)

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father

Friends, we all have an identity with our names. But, every generation have certain names that commands influence and authority like names of leaders, celebrities and powerful individuals in the society. Yes, there is a name that surpasses all others from generation to generation. It is a name full of power and authority. It is the highest name above all names both here on earth, beneath the earth and in heaven as all things bow in that name. So, there is yet one name above all names and His name is JESUS. Hence, it has the supreme authority over all race, gender, situation, or generation. Acts 3:6 In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk. And immediately, the man at the beautiful gate who was lame from birth rose up as Peter and John had no silver and gold as alms to give but gave the name of Jesus. It is in His name we have power over sickness, sin, victory over death, over darkness and in all, salvation is by no other name but in Jesus for all who believe.  Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Amazingly, Jesus attracted this highest name as He humbled himself and was obedient to death. And God crowned Him with the highest name for there is no other name to call in any situation than this highest name - JESUS. Psalm 8:1 - O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.  We can see that His exaltation came after His submission and His crown followed His cross experience. I encourage us to call and use this highest name - JESUS today and we shall see answers and turnaround in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT: 

Heavenly Father, help us to walk in relationship and intimacy with Jesus by submitting and believing in Him as to enjoy the benefits in the name JESUS at all times in Jesus name.
