Text: Romans
15:13(KJV)
Now the God of hope fill you with
all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power
of the Holy Ghost.
Friends, hope is the lifeline of our faith in
Christ. Yes, we must live with an overflow of assurance that God is able. Hence,
our hope must be alive because there is need for confidence expectation to that
heart desire. This helps us to always remain alert that something good is
coming from God even when the situation seems dry, if not delayed.
Unfortunately, many people have lost their hope because of failure of
yesterday, disappointments, and also life challenges that has brought about
heartbreaks. 1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
which… hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus
Christ from the dead. But,
we must do all to abound in hope in which case there is overflow of expectation
by reason of God’s promises. Remember, when your hope dies, your vision fades
away which leads to weakness and hopelessness. Therefore, with our hope alive,
we can look up even when other circumstances says give up. Romans 5: 2-5 By whom
also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope
of the glory of God… and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is
shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost.
Interestingly, when our hope is alive
something ignites faith into us, which makes our heart strengthened and our
future opens up for greatness. Abounding in hope help us to see possibilities
as our perspective changes for good. Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory
of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. However,
we must learn to live on joyful expectation that God can do it inspite of the
delays. So, I encourage us not to just remain on wishful thinking rather we
should build confidence trust on the faithfulness of our God concerning that
expectations in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Heavenly Father, renew our strength for active faith as we
cultivate time with the word and moments in fellowship with God the father, Son
and the Holy Spirit in Jesus name.
ACTION
QUOTE: Remember, we need to anchor our soul in God that keeps us calm in the
phase of the storm.
