God of my Salvation

Text: Psalm 27:1(KJV)

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Friends, your day of salvation is not just an event but a journey of intimacy with God. It is God’s heartbeat of love and we must cherish the experience. Hence, it is in salvation that we are redeemed, rescued, restored and renewed. So, God’s ultimate agenda is to save humanity from bondage into a glorious future and eternity in view. It is not a gift for destruction but for honour and beauty. Romans 10:13 For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Therefore, we are also saved from fear, failure, darkness which separated us from God. Salvation reconciles us back to God from slavery and bondage to death. But remember, that we are saved by mercy and for a relationship with God. And today, by salvation God has brought us into victory and peace for eternal glory. Also, salvation brings us from emptiness into His divine purpose. Isaiah 12:2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid.

Interestingly, God initiated salvation and therefore we need Him to sustain this walk of salvation. We now enjoy freedom from guilt and shame on every side. Habakkuk 3:18 - I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. So, the same way God saved men of old like David from his enemies, Daniel from the lion’s den, Israelites from the bondage of Egypt etc, He will save us today no matter the long lasting captivity. I pray we shall acknowledge Him, believe Him, confess Him and have a new walk with Him daily in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT: 

Father, may I continue to embrace this greatest gift and need to humanity as He is ever ready to save, to heal and to revive us today in Jesus name.
