Text: Proverb
3:5-6 (KJV)
Trust in the Lord
with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways
acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
Friends, Commitment
to God is one of the most powerful foundations of the Christian
life. We
must get to a point of staying through the good and the bad times with God. Yes,
this demands an absolute commitment to our trust in God. It is not a wasted
adventure as it is an act of total obedience to God’s will and His agenda. This
is a life of staying loyal to God and not your will. Proverbs 16:3 Commit your works to the
Lord, and your thoughts will be established.
It
is the fuel behind any tangible growth in any area of our lives. We need to
absolutely surrender our plans to God and allow His leading even when the
situation is not fully clear. It requires our trusting His process and staying
steadfast in our faith in God. This is a value that keeps us walking even in
uncertain seasons. The commitment to God is what establishes our thoughts to
achievement. Luke 9:62 No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks
back is fit for service in the kingdom of God. Hence, it is not time to look back
because without commitment, you’ll never start and it is commitment that
sustains your drive even when the excitement fades away. Therefore, our faith seats
on our commitment by trusting God even when you don’t understand His ways and
fixing our hearts to eternal glory.
Amazingly, it is our commitment to trusting
God that yields answers to prayers and great goals with expectations. So, we
need commitment to keep walking even when our talents and skills open doors. Jere 17:7-8 But blessed is the
one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. They will be like a
tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. God needs
our all, including our hearts, our time, our obedience, our service for a life
of commitment that makes us to trust Him today. I encourage us to avoid lukewarm
and distraction for absolute commitment to God in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
Oh Lord, help me to stay committed as I commit my
ways, my thoughts, and my plans to You. Help me to remain faithful in every
season in Jesus name.
