Text: John 2:10(NIV)
Everyone
brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests
have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.
Friends, no matter what you have in possession, there is God’s
best ahead of you. It is our choice of involving Him that qualifies us to enjoy
His best wine. It is the finest and most delightful wine ever. Hence, the best
wine that has the capacity to sweeten life and destiny was served at last for
sustainable years ahead. So, we can see the wedding in Cana, that the wine for
the celebration was exhausted, because Jesus and his disciples were present, we
can see a turn around that brought about ordinary water made sweet wine which
is the choice wine for life. We need it today for favour, joy, provision, glory
etc. Jesus is that sweet wine that never run dry. Provb
4:18 The path of the righteous is like
the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. And the
goodnews is, the later was better than the former. There is a saved choice wine
for you today. Eccl. 7:8 Better is the end of a thing
than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud
in spirit.
Interestingly, there is a far superior wine of your life that will
show up later. Our God is more than enough as He can provide the best at last
when all hope is gone. We cannot run out with the presence of God. Jesus is
that true wine but we must abide in Him so we don’t go stale or dilute our
worth. John 15:5 - I am the vine; you are the branches, He that abideth in me,
and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit; for without me you can do
nothing.
Hence, we shall continue to flourish and not decline in Christ as we remain
faithful and obedient to His timing. Remember, our God is a God of increase and
will continue to make fruitful, purposeful, and impactful results at the later
days of our lives. I pray we shall walk into our season of choice wine as the
best is yet to come in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
1. Oh Lord,
turn my frustration into sweet wine that will astonish my audience as you
reveal the miraculous nature of God in Jesus name.
