Text: 1 Timothy 3:2-3(KJV)
A Bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one
wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach. Not
given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a
brawler, not covetous.
Friends, there is a call to
live blameless which requires the strength of God as to walk in integrity and
sincerity before God and man. It makes us to stand out as a mirror in every generation.
It is a quality that brings us to a place of election and honour by reflecting
Christ even when no one is watching. So, from the scripture above, there
is an outlined qualification for any good work. Hence, living blameless is
not the absence of fault but is being quick to make amends and pick
constructive corrections and feedback. Remember, we can live a transparent life
in the energy of His fear and not by our flesh. Job 1:1
- There was a man in the land of Uz,
whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared
God, and eschewed evil. Yes, we are in a society full of compromise, but we can live
blameless by living conscious of God's presence. Gen 6:9 Noah was a just man and perfect
in his generations, and Noah walked with God. But, it
requires a guide through His Word and an empowerment by the Holy Spirit. You can choose to mark yourself with
uprightness today.
However, we can refuse to conform in the world standard as to live
blameless which requires a walk with truth and right living. So, we must shine
as light even in this perverse generation. Philippians
2:15 -That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without
rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as
lights in the world. Therefore, let’s live
without moral compromise and spiritual dryness to stagnation in our journey of
purpose. It is possible to live spotless and innocent just as we surrender to
God, guide our thoughts into actions and be accountable to His grace. The Lord
will help us in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
1. Heavenly
father, help us to carry God’s nature and lifestyle which is without spot and
wrinkle as we reflect Christ by a renewed heart in Jesus name.
