Knowledge of the TRUTH

 

Text:  1 Timothy 2:3-4(KJV)

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth

Friends, there is need to go for the truth and not develop itching ear to God’s eternal reality. The truth is unchanging and pure despite the generation. It is the uncovered truth that brings about spiritual maturity and not intellectual understanding. Although, false and misinformation of the word can thrive but it is for a while. John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. Remember, the truth exposes lies and transforms the society. Hence, it is the truth that sets free no matter the years of bondage. John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Unfortunately, many are living on half measure of the truth resulting to societal ills. But, the good news is that, the truth is a person and not a concept. So, Jesus is the truth and we should not get familiar with the truth by the facts rather embrace Him today.  John 14:6-I am the way, the truth, and the life. We must be careful not to dwell on deceit and traditions of men which has polluted the world and made many to misuse the scriptures. But, let’s be careful with the opinions of men, religious routines, false doctrine, misinterpretation of scriptures etc rather go for personal word search for the truth today.

Interestingly, our journey with salvation is the eye opener into the knowledge of the truth. Though salvation experience is the entry point of genuine encounter, but the knowledge of truth is what sustains our Christian life to eternity. Therefore, 2 Tim 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  So, our eyes of understanding must be enlightened as to receive by revelation the knowledge of the truth. Ultimately, to know the truth is through diligent search and meditation of His word which is a lamp to our feet and an encounter with the Holy Spirit who reveals the mysteries behind the word. I pray we shall pay wrap attention to God’s word as we flee from false teachers in Jesus name.

 PRAYER POINT:

1.       Heaven father, help us to go for the truth as to protect and strengthen our faith in Christ Jesus for a life of dominion in Jesus name.
