Text: John 15:4-5 (KJV)
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of
itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am
the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same
bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Friends, we are in a world filled with
distractions, but staying focused is what we need to abide in His presence that
makes us to live in the vine. Hence, this
involves sticking with Jesus in all our endeavours. So, living in the vine
requires us dwelling in God and God in us because we are like a branch who
needs the vine to survive. Psalm 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of
the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. So, our
source of nourishment is from the almighty, therefore we should not shift away
from His agenda. Indeed, we can do nothing on our own. Therefore, for us to
continue to bear fruits, we must get connected with our source of power and
strength as He purges us of every form of unfruitfulness as to make us bear
more fruits.
Amazingly, we have to build up a deep
spiritual stability that brings about growth and sustainability. 1 John 3:6 Whosoever abideth
in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. It is not a time to drift from God
but to abide in Him with His word as to be cleansed and purged away from
negativity. We should not be occasional in connection rather continual
connection with the Master. John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye
will, and it shall be done unto you. Remember, it is not a one off event with Christ. So, we must
live on daily dependence on God as we receive strength and guidance from Jesus.
I pray we shall have constant union with lasting fellowship with God the
father, Son and the Holy Spirit in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
1.Father, help us to abide cheerfully and faithfully as to
bear fruits in this kingdom in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE:
