The Voice of Triumph

Text: Psalm 47:1-4(KJV)

O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. For the Lord most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.  He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet. He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.

Friends, there is a shout that speaks of God as King which subdues the enemy. It is a statement that is coded in a voice for His reign over all. Hence, it is a shout of faith, celebration and victory before, in or after the battle.  Joshua 6:20 So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city. The voice of triumph is a threat to the enemy that gives us power to overcome every wall of limitation as we take the city. Yes, it can oppress the enemy and give you victory as you blow the trumpet of victory. God can divinely come down into any situation with this voice of triumph which the enemy cannot resist because His power and authority is there to pull down the evil agenda. Psalm 47:5 God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.

Interestingly, we can also declare this bold worship to praise our God with our voice of triumph today. It is in this declaration that we proclaim the sovereignty of God over our life challenges. Hence, our voice is gone up as we shout out God’s superiority over nations. The truth is that we did nothing to possess the inheritance rather it came to us as a privilege. Isaiah 12:6 Shout, and sing for joy, O inhabitant of Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel. So, shout again. Hence, our surprise is shown in our shout as to accord Him all the glory because He cannot share His glory with any man. Therefore, let us clap and shout today to express a joyful praise for the current and future victory in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.      Father, help us to echo the triumphant voice over our life challenges as we conquer in battles with the shout of victory in Jesus name.

ACTION QUOTE:  Remember to shout in faith and not a shout of noise.
