A glorious inheritance

 

 

Text: Ephesians 1:18 (KJV)                                               

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened: that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. 

Friends, it is in the knowing that we can truly embrace the benefit of a blessing. Yes, think about that you have an asset without your knowledge and maybe someone is sitting and enjoying all your benefits. However, in your wildest dream, you have no idea that there is a glory in that possession. And this is the state of many in this kingdom. Though, it can seem unbelieving but that is what it is with us in Christ Jesus because the glory is beyond your imagination. Hence, there is a reality to this glorious inheritance and not a fantasy, so, we must embrace it because they are obtained to us as an inheritance by Christ Jesus as He paid it in full by His sacrifice. Hebrew 9:15 For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance…..

Amazingly, our belief in Jesus opened us up into to a new family and a new kingdom. He has made us sons and daughters of his eternal glory as we accept Jesus in full. Hence, God’s promises to us does not end in the physical provisions rather we have access into the supernatural which includes righteousness, peace, joy, love, honour, glory etc. Psalm 37:29 The righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever.  We are not scrambling for significance rather there is a glorious inheritance made available to us as a family member in this kingdom. I pray this hope shall find expression in our daily lives in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.      Oh Lord, may our inheritance anchored in Him which is bright and beautiful become our tangible inheritance today in Jesus name.
