Go, lie to hear God

Text: 1 Samuel 3:9(KJV)

Therefore, Eli said unto Samuel, Go lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shall say, Speak Lord: for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.

Friends, it is God’s desire to speak to His children at all times but we are clouded with distractions and environmental noise.  Hence, it takes an intentional attitude to hear His voice in the midst of noise. So, Eli new that it was God calling on Samuel but he needs his attention so he should go and lie down in presence as to settle his heart. We must disconnect from the noise around us to be calm to hear Him. It is a spirit to spirit connection, so as his sheep we must align with the frequency of heaven for clarity. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”John 10:27. So, let’s reposition ourselves in deep fellowship and relationship with God today.

Amazingly, many want to hear God but distractions has drawn the gentle whisper of His voice out of our way. Let’s lie still, prepare our hearts and be attentive to focus on Him alone. Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.  Also, practice to be patient with a willing heart. God still gives instructions to his children, just like He did to Samuel that the ears that will hear it will tingle. Therefore, as we pause from the busy of the environment, we shall hear Him again. So, learn to obey as to keep hearing Him. I pray the Lord will heal that disconnect today in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.       Heavenly father, help us to keep away from the distractions by resting in His presence for a clear voice on the Lord today in Jesus name.

Action Quote: Remember, our active listening requires us paying close attention to Him.
