Text:Nehemiah2:5 (KJV)
And I said unto the king, If it please
the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest
send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers' sepulchres, that I may build
it
Friends,
we must be careful on how we build up in life. Yes, we cannot construct or
erect anything without the necessary ingredients. And, favour is a must in this
world of challenges as it breaths ease to man’s struggle that brings about soft
landing if we must build according to pattern. Nehemiah as a man acknowledged
the need to seek and receive the favour from the king which is a major tool that
brought about ease and direction in the rebuilding of the wall of Jerusalem
even as he received clear vision from the Lord. Neh 2:8
And a letter unto Asaph the keeper of the king's forest, that
he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the palace which
appertained to the house, and for the wall of the city, and for the house that
I shall enter into. And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my
God upon me.
Amazingly,
Nehemiah needed the king to send him with his favour that He may build back the
walls. So, it pleased the king to send him and also to set a time. Luke 2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in
favour with God and man. Hence, the opposition notwithstanding, the
backing of the king stood out for the accomplishment of this great task.
Therefore, with deep burdens and prayers we can attract the favour of God in
all our endeavours today too. I pray we shall not advance without His sent
favour of accomplishment in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
1.
Father, help me not to labour by human effort rather may I walk with
supernatural backing as you open onto me greater opportunities to build in life
and destiny in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Remember, the frustration can be as a result of lack of
divine favour today.
