Excellent sacrifice

Text: Hebrew 11:4

By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh

Friends, let’s learn to lay at the altar of sacrifice seed that is worthwhile. Yes, excellent sacrifice is given wholeheartedly because, it is the seed without wrinkle that provokes the blessing. It is not just any how seed, rather seed that came from a heart of denial. So, we are encouraged to always prepare our seeds before we offer it to the Lord. Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Hence, it is a faith based offering that is called an excellent sacrifice. We can see from the scripture above that Abel and Cain offered but one obtained a witness for righteousness. This even attracted God testifying of his gift that even at death his seed is still speaking till date.

Interestingly, for it to become an acceptable offering, we must sow, cheerfully, joyfully, faithfully and willingly. Hence, we shall not give by obligation rather out of love to God. 1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ Also, it is always associated to pain but with gain at last as it brings glory to God and deepens our intimacy with our creator. So, we should see Jesus as the greatest example for selfless and perfect sacrifice and full glory at the end. I pray we shall give our best and not the left over that is dented today in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1.       Father, help me not hold that sacrificial seed that is living and acceptable as it will bring glory to God in Jesus name.
