The light of God

Text: Genesis 1:3-5 (KJV)

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.  And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Friends, light is a powerful symbol in the bible that represents the totality of God’s presence to humanity. Light is not just in seeing with our physical sight rather with the illumination that comes with the eye of the spirit which brings about direction. Remember, God’s light shines to lead us and attract us towards God and His will. Yes, this is what can make us see even in dark corners, through the spirit of His word. And we know in every product there is a light part and dark side but when we are in the side of God, we see with the light of His spirit. John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Amazingly, we must learn to separate light from darkness which gives us direction in the midst of the storm. And the good news is that Jesus is the light of God and we must embrace Him if we must see clearly in this dark world. Hence, we need to walk with the truth which guides us through life challenges and guides us through daily decisions. Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. I pray we shall not walk without the light of God today in Jesus name.

1.       Father, thank you for being the light of my life and helping me on my step to step actions by your guiding principle in the word of God in Jesus name.
