Text: Mark 4:37-38 (KJV)
And
there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it
was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow:
and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
Friends, it is one thing to carry the master but it is a
deeper experience to become conscious of His presence. It is often our ego that
makes us to depend so much on our small conscience and leave God until the
matter get worst. But from the scripture above, there arose a storm in which the
disciples were struggling even with the presence of the Master. Psalms 73:26- My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the
strength of my heart, and my portion forever. And if I may ask, is Jesus
in control and the strength of your life? If yes, involve Him for a
transformation in that challenge because He can declare over that situation
“peace be still” and we shall see calmness. Our duty is just to awake His
presence.
Amazingly, the ship was filled with water before they awoke
the master who was relaxed even in the storm. Remember, even in a closed case
the master can show up like in Lazarus’s case. The funny part was that Jesus
was on that ship, but he was so calm even sleeping. John11:11-
These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, our friend Lazarus
sleepeth; but I go that I may awake him out of sleep. And the question is: Are we carrying or
calling Jesus in the boat of our lives or we are fighting the battle by
ourselves? In fact, it is clear to us that storm ceased when they called for
the help of the Master. Therefore, we too can build absolute confidence in His
Lordship and we shall experience great testimony today in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
1) Father, help us to subdue self-wisdom
in the battles of our lives but learn to depend on the Master in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Remember, the Master is in charge even when the
storm is overwhelming.
