Made in God’s likeness

 

Text: Genesis 1:27 (KJV)

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”

Friends, remember you are made in God’s own image and not any other image. And scripture was specific to say “his own image”. So, the identity we are to represent must be from His nature. There is an original sample and image you are made from and we cannot act otherwise. Remember, our root is from God and our fruits must be like God.  Genesis 2:7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.  The good news is that you are God’s masterpiece and God’s character that means, His way of doing things is in your DNA.

Amazingly, the totality of our composition is in Him, so we should not struggle to do things that we are made to do with God likeness in us. Psalms 82:6- “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most high”. He poured His content and value system in us as He breath upon man in creation. Indeed, He has given us the privilege to dominate, replenish and be fruitful as His fruit bearing seed is in us. So, we are to be in charge and take responsibility of our vicinity. Therefore, we cannot express anything less than God as he made all and saw that it was very good. And we cannot act otherwise in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

1) Oh Lord, as we are made in your likeness, may we cherish what God loves as we represent Him in our behaviours too, in Jesus name.
