God’s Word as a delightsome gift

 

Text: Psalm.1:2-3(KJV)

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Friends, anywhere your investment is, you have the tendency to channel your heart towards that flow for your pleasure. Math.6:²¹ For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Therefore, let’s cultivate a deep and passionate affection on the word of God as to enjoy the gift and benefit that are embedded in the scriptures. The beautiful part is that as we keep drawing ourselves closer to the bible that is how our love for God begins to come a life. So, Love is not manufactured verbally rather it is activated by knowledge and experience.

Amazingly, we should discipline ourselves by seating with the Bible on daily bases as we learn commitment and get planted in the word of life. Our feelings must follow hard after the Lord so as to remain rooted in the love of God. Jere 17:8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. There must be genuine delight in God’s word as we continually follow in His leading. It is important we create quite moment with the word as we delight to read, study, meditate, fellowship with the bible as to gain the inheritance that is hidden therein. Therefore, let’s get rooted and watered by the word to become a fruit bearing tree that will be happy and a blessing to others in Jesus name.

1.      Father, help us to live a life that is planted and rooted in the word of God no matter the season of my life as to enjoy the benefits in Jesus name.
