Text: Nehemiah 13:31(KJV)
And for the wood offering, at times appointed,
and for the first fruits, Remember me, O my God, for good.
Friends, when
we are faced with oppositions and fierce situation what do we do or think?
Certain times we get to a point of depreciated faith which is an overwhelming
state of life. What you see at this moment is hopelessness. But the story of Nehemiah is an encouragement
today, he learnt to trust God no matter the storms of life and its challenges. His
confidence is that, God will remember him with favour and mercy. Unfortunately,
we see in our lives our confidence are always short lived. Psalm 77:11 - I will
remember the works of the Lord:
surely I will remember thy wonders of old. Do not forget his good will in the time past
because of the current pain. Yes, we change face as a result of opposition through certain
situations that does not look palatable. But we are encouraged to hold unto
God.
Amazingly, many turn away from following the Lord and go back
to wickedness because of pressure. But we should learn to remember the favour
of God in the phase of opposition because His covenant will he not break nor
fail. Psalm 5:12 For thou Lord wilt bless the
righteous, with favour wilt thou compass him as a with a shield. Therefore, let us learn to remember
God’s favour in the time past, so as to deepen our relationship with the
almighty because that is what will sustains one in the day of adversity. May
God help us in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT:
1. Father, put upon us the garment of
favour that will course attraction for good at all times in Jesus name.
ACTION QUOTE: Remember, your life can end with favour as to receive well
done, good and faith servant of God.
